Dear Worton Elementary School Families,
Our staff is committed to each student’s success. Our school’s vision is that the WES staff, students and parents will work together to ensure a safe and positive school culture where all students experience high levels of learning. This ties in with our school motto – “Where Everyone Shines.”
For this school year, we are implementing a new Positive Behavior Intervention Support program. Our student and staff expectations are to “Be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.” When students demonstrate these expectations, they earn PBIS tickets that they turn in to participate in special events such as a mini field day. Family and community involvement are important to us. Please consider joining our Parent Teacher Association and Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) organizations. They provide great support to our students and staff.
We have a new volunteer form that needs to be completed for all volunteers, including chaperones for field trips. As a part of the KCPS volunteer requirements, an orientation is also required. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us so that we can provide you with the volunteer form and schedule a volunteer orientation meeting.
We look forward to working together.
