Greetings, Kent County Middle School community!
This is Principal Mark Buckel, and alongside me is Assistant Principal Kelley Melvin.
With great anticipation and enthusiasm, we extend a warm welcome to all of you for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. We're eagerly looking forward to the return of our wonderful students to the school premises, where they'll embark on a journey of learning and growth.
Mark your calendars for these important dates:
• Open House: Join us on Thursday, Aug. 31, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with your dedicated educators and get acquainted with the school environment.
• Back to School Night: We invite you to our Back to School Night on Tuesday, Sept. 26, running from 6 to 7 p.m. It's a chance for us to come together as a community and set the stage for a successful year ahead.
• First Day for Sixth Grade: Calling all sixth graders! Your first day of school is set for Tuesday, Sept.5. We're excited to welcome you and help you kickstart your middle school journey.
• All Students Return: For ALL KCMS students, the first day of school is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 6. We can't wait to have each and every one of you back in our halls, ready to embrace another year of learning and achievement.
And don't forget, the school day at KCMS begins at 7:25 a.m. and concludes at 2:25 p.m., providing ample time for engaging lessons and meaningful experiences.
In addition, please be advised that the designated parent drop-off and pick-up location for students has been relocated to the FRONT of the school.
We kindly request your participation in the interest survey linked below. Your input is invaluable in helping us gain deeper insights into our KCMS students and families. This information will greatly assist us in finalizing student schedules effectively.
