Kent County Public Schools is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, recognizing the important role our educators play in children's lives. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10, with Tuesday, May 7 being recognized as National Teacher Day.

"During Teacher Appreciation Week, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers who dedicate themselves to shaping minds and nurturing spirits," said Dr. Karen Couch, superintendent of Kent County Public Schools. "Your unwavering commitment, passion and creativity empower students to reach their full potential and inspire a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are deeply thankful for the impact you make every day. As the parent or guardian of a child receiving special education services in Maryland, you should have received a copy of the Maryland Special Education Parent Involvement Survey in the mail.
 
By completing the survey, you can tell us how your child’s school partners with you. Your feedback will help guide efforts to improve special education and related services in your local school system.
 
The Maryland State Department of Education wants to hear from you.

Complete the hard copy survey that was recently sent to you and return it in the postage-paid envelope by May 19, 2023.
